Salary Disbursement

In USA, disbursement of salary is done on weekly, bimonthly and monthly basis. In general, salary is provided on bimonthly basis (i.e) 15th and the last day of the month.

Salary disbursement is done either by 'check' to the employee or 'direct deposit' to the employee's bank. The withhelding of taxes is based on the status(single, married, married with kid) of the employee and taxes are sent to federal and state government by the employer.

Single: More taxes are withheld.

Married but no kids: Less taxes when compared with 'single'.

Married with kid: Less taxes when compared with 'single' and 'married but no kids'.
