All male applicants 16-45 years of age need to submit form DS-157 (supplemental non-immigrant visa application.)
Book an apppointment for your direct interview with a US Consulate either online or in-person.
Attend the interview with all the documents.
If you are selected, you will asked to pay the visa issuance fee.
Your documents will be sent through courier to the address mentioned by you in your application.
H4 holders will not be given a SSN; Few states like Iowa may provide social security numbers but you cannot use it for work purposes.
Driver License:H4 holders are eligible to obtain driving license. Please contact the respective DMV offices in your state.
ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number):H4 Visa holders should obtain an ITIN in order to avail the TAX benefits. To apply for an ITIN, you need to contact the IRS and ask for Form W-7 (Application for IRS Individual Taxpayer Identification Number). Documents needed are your passport, address proof and marriage certificate/birth certificate etc.
