What is B-1 Visa?
B-1 visa is a non-immigrant visa issued by US government for business purpose to enter the United States which is commonly known as Visitor visa. B-1 visa holders come to US for consulting with business associates, or for attending meetings, or to participate in discussions, or to negotiate contract, make investments, or for interviewing and recruiting employees. Though B-1 visa is not a working visa by default, US consulate may provide employment authorized B-1 visa. E.g. project analysis on a short term basis. B-1 Visa Validity: B-1 visa is valid for a maximum of 1 year and it takes approximately 1 to 2 weeks to get B-1 visa. Generally B-1 visa is granted for 3 months or 6 months during entry and can be extended based upon the nature of work and requirements in US. What is B-2 Visa?B-2 visa ia a non-immigrant visa issued by US government for pleasure(i.e Tourist) or for medical treatment to enter the United States which is commonly known as Visitor visa. B-2 visa holders come to US for reasons like touring, amusement, visiting friends or relatives, or to partcipate in the social activities. Through visa waiver program, foreign travelers on certain job categories may be able to visit US without a visitor visa from certain eligible countries.
